November 2020
I'm sorry for being so quiet the last few months. But I have in fact been quite productive this autumn. New music and album releases are on their way to the public :-):
- The sequel for the sci-fi theme album "Fantasies on a Journey Through Time and Space", entitled "Contemplations on Planetary Perils", will be released on Nov 27th. Seven experimental electronic tracks especially suited for headphone listening.
- I'm creating music and soundscapes for the next production of Kompani ITS, "Korn" (grain).
- New Upper Rooms EP to be released in January!

New release out now! "Fantasies on a Journey Through Time and Space" is electronic headphone music suitable for the Times Of Social Distancing. A Sci-Fi story in sound about people on a journey towards the unknown. Melodic, melancholic, weird and humorous (I hope). All the music was coded with Sonic Pi, a new favourite tool of mine. Hope you like it!

October 2019
Just finished our last tour with Solitutti in Akershus. In the course of the last seven years we've been playing for all the school children in Akershus - thousands and thousands of kids! We've been so privileged - thank you! Now we're seeking new arenas and concert halls to play in. On Sunday November the 10th, we will be playing at Biermannsgården in Oslo at 14.00. You are all welcome! If you want updates on our concert dates and other activities please follow Solitutti's Facebook page.

September 2019
Currently on tour with Solitutti, visiting several schools i Akershus. So glad to be on the road with Ruth Wilhelmine Meyer and Snorre Eirik Hvamen!
We will also be playing at Marked for Musikk in Larvik, October 22nd and an open show in Oslo on November the 10th. Hope to see you there!

August 2019
I'm relatively busy with making tracks for the new Upper Rooms album, but I have time for other fun things as well: Listen to my recent collaboration with Ingrid - a rare voice from Brazil.
An album with all the tracks from this SoundCloud collaboration will be released on Bandcamp soon.

June 2019
Update: My favourite French Horn player Sissel Morken Gullord will perform my piece "Canon and Coda" for solo horn and electronics at her solo recital at the Miry Concertzaal in Gent, Belgium on July the 3rd. I'm very honoured. The piece was actually written for her back in 2007. Break a leg! You can listen to a recording of the piece in the embedded player.

A big thank you to Tono for giving me a working grant for the creation of a new piece, "Ripples", for electric cello, six zithers, percussion and electronics. I'm looking forward to start the process!
I will play a short live impro set in Oslo on June the 16th. Hope to see you there! Click here for more info.

April 2019
First of all: A big thank you to Komponistenes Vederlagsfond (The Composers’ Remuneration Fund) for giving me a working grant for making music for the new Upper Rooms album! I'm so happy they found my work worthy for support :-). Tracks keep coming - check out my Upper Rooms page on SoundCloud, and please give me feedback and comments on tracks you like. Maybe they'll end up on the album?

I've also been up north again, and here's the music to prove it:

February 2019
I've decided to revive my old project Upper Rooms that has been dormant since 2002. It was my alter ego for creating quirky and melodic electronic tunes way back, starting in 1998.
New album are scheduled to be released in December 2019!
Meanwhile you can check out my Upper Rooms page on SoundCloud where I've uploaded a few oldies - both released and unreleased, and new tunes as well!
My old releases on Beatservice Records are available on all streaming platforms - Spotify etc.

January 2019
New year and a brand new digital release - Misteroj. Available now where you find your music of choice!
This is a collection of improvisations and electronic experiments where there's no computer sequencing involved. The music has an organic flow where different types of equipment are used - modular synths, analogue and digital low-budget synths, dictaphones, old-school samplers and an analogue sequencer.

November 2018
Finally back home after two months of touring. In December I'll finish mastering a new album, "Misteroj" which will be released in January. Great fun (for me at least)!

When I was touring I made some new tracks for my "There Are Places I Remember Project". Feel free to listen here on my embedded playlist.

August 2018
I'm honoured to be accepted as a member of NKF - The Norwegian Society Of Composers. Thank you!
I'm also honoured to be featured on the July playlist for SunVox music by the creator of the SunVox software himself, Alexander Zolotov. You can listen to my two included tracks, "Kemner Nights" and "Wholey" on the embedded playlist.

There will also be three performances of the play "Hurrahølet" by Kompani ITS in Østfold this August. Check out our Facebook page for details. Below you can hear a cozy little song from the play, "Anleggsvise"

July 2018
Out now on cassette (!), download and streaming: Dystutopians - The Summer Cassette!
This is a collection of playful electronic tunes made during the last year. Inspired by love, hate, dreams of Utopia and dystopian nightmares. I've only used hardware, vintage and new, to produce this music. Everything was played live in studio with no overdubs and computers involved (mastered in Ableton, though).
Available from Bandcamp as a limited edition cassette (only 10 copies!) or download.

Otherwise June was a busy month - lots of workshop activity and music to be completed. Things to mention:
- I was a guest at the The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation talking about the piece Enhäz, where I use sounds from a dentist's office. Composed for a performance at the Faculty of Dental Surgery, University of Paris Descartes, Montrouge, on June the 22nd 2018. This was a part of a project curated by the label Tsuku Boshi for the Festival Lion Noir. You can listen to the whole composition by clicking the player underneath.

May 2018
The Kompani ITS production Minnespor (Memory Traces) will have it's premiere in Spydeberg, September 16th, with a performance the following day at the Nonstop International Theatre Festival in Moss, Norway. We will also travel to the FITIJ festival in Santarem, Portugal in October. More info on ITS' web-site.

April 2018
New web-site and new release! I'm honoured to be a part of the new compilation LP from the French label Mélodies Souterraines - "O/P", with the track "Roulette" I made back in 1999! I think the vinyl is sold out already, but I'll get a few copies soon to distribute to those interested. Drop me a line 👍. You can still buy a download though (see embedded player).
